OECD Economic Survey of Japan
The OECD’s latest survey of Japan - together with an initial assessment of the economic impact  of the earthquake and tsunami – will be published on Thursday 21 April 2011. The survey  also looks at the longer term challenges and policy priorities in areas such as public finance, education and employment.
The survey will be available to journalists in English on the OECD's password-protected website at 7:30 a.m. Paris time (14:30 in Tokyo) for immediate release.

A news conference with OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will be held at 14:30 the same day at the Japan National Press Club, 2-2-1 Uchisaiwaicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

An Overview with the main conclusions will be freely accessible in pdf format (in English) on the OECD’s web site at www.oecd.org/eco/surveys/japan. You are invited to include this internet link in reports on the survey.

Journalists will be allowed advance access to the electronic version of the publication, by e-mail and under embargo, the day before release.
